A: You can define the search range more accurately. Give the symbols you remembered, replace the unkown symbols with "?". Such as ac???ab. A Password Mask must be defined when you choose Mask Attack. If you partially know the password and confirm the character position, this Attacking method can help you find out the correct password easily.

6. Q:What’s "Character Set"?

A: It is only available to "Brute-force with Mask Attack" which instructs the program what characters have been used in the password and restrict the search area.
a-z, 0-9,A-Z, -_?!@#$... : Defined by the Predefined Passwords Ranges. If the password contains these, check it.
User-defined : You can define your own Character Set for the Brute-Force Attack. Check "User-defined" and enter the Character with your own.
Start from : If you remember the beginning of the password characters check it and enter the Character.
End at : If you remember the end of the password characters check it and enter the Character.

7. Q:What is "Dictionary Attack"?

A: Most passwords used by living beings are based on a word or phrase. Performing a dictionary attack by attempting different combinations of cases and variations of words and characters before reverting to a comprehensive brute-force attack allows for considerate time savings shall the attack succeed.

8. Q:What is "Smart Attack"?

A: This Attack is an automatic attack and it is suitable for recovering an absolutely unknown password. It will try all possible characters combinations include all printable characters. If you choose this attacking method, character range and mask symbol cannot be defined, user can only define how long of the password in Lenth Option.

9. Q:What is the "Program Priority"?

A: This Attack attempts all possible combinations of passwords by performing the brute force attack. The highly optimized low-level code provides the best-in-class performance for the brute-force password recovery. Multi-threaded optimization ensures optimum performance on the modern multi-core CPUs. If you choose this attacking method, character range and mask symbol cannot be defined, user can only define how long of the password in Lenth Option.

10. Q:What if I stop recovering the password?

A: The program will save the recovery process automatically. And it will run again following that point even if it was suddenly suspended.
You can set the period in Auto-save Option. If you set it as 5 minutes, then the program will automatically save the process every 5 minutes. Select the check box "Save project every" to active it.
